Septentrion Finance has advised the shareholders of Abeille Rush on the investment by family office Georges F
17/02/2025
A leading logistics company from northern France, Abeille Rush delivers over 80,000 parcels daily to both professional and private clients. Since its founding in 1985, the company has experienced continuous growth. Today, with 700 employees, Abeille Rush generated €31 million in revenue and aims to reach €100 million by 2030.
To support these ambitions and strengthen Abeille Rush’s financial structure, its leaders Nicolas Debrune and Damien Lenne have opened up the capital to the family office Georges F, chaired by entrepreneur Pierre-Laurent Cornu, alongside CEO Aurélien Decerf. The goal is to accelerate growth, expand territorial coverage throughout France, while maintaining the high service quality that defines this last-mile delivery specialist.
“Over 40 years of history and thanks to the commitment of our employees, Abeille Rush has become a major player in delivery and logistics in northern France. To support our development projects, we chose the family office Georges F, a team of experienced entrepreneurs who share our values: team spirit, entrepreneurial mindset, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Their support will enable Abeille Rush to triple its turnover by 2030. Together, we have all the cards to succeed,” said Nicolas Debrune and Damien Lenne, Abeille Rush’s leaders.
Abeille Rush: Specialist in First-to-Last Mile Delivery
Abeille Rush offers a tailored range of services to both private clients (60%) and professionals (40%) across Europe, including urgent transport, express delivery, next-day delivery, scheduled services, parcel forwarding, duo delivery, and warehousing.
Currently, Abeille Rush operates 7 branches and warehouses in France (Fretin, Escaudain, Liévin, Amiens, Lyon, Saint-Étienne, Rouen) with 700 employees. To support its growth and continue providing excellent customer service, the company plans to recruit 100 additional employees annually over the next five years. With Georges F’s support, Abeille Rush will also launch the “Abeille Rush Academy,” an internal training school for onboarding and continuous staff development.
Investments are planned to green the fleet: out of 500 vehicles, nearly 20% are hybrid or electric, and Abeille Rush aims to increase the share of low-emission vehicles by over 10% annually.
Georges F: A New Northern Investment Player Supporting Long-Term Projects
Created by a family of entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, the family office Georges F has chosen to back Abeille Rush’s growth strategy.
“We are very pleased to join the Abeille Rush adventure alongside Nicolas, Damien, and their teams to support the development of this great company and help them reach their ambitious goals. Founded in 1895, this family business has constantly renewed and adapted over 130 years. We are committed to sustainable partnerships and are passionate about helping the companies and groups we support unlock their full potential,” explained Pierre-Laurent Cornu, President of Georges F.
Pierre-Laurent Cornu, originally from Hauts-de-France, is an entrepreneur known for founding and successfully growing the Roi du Matelas group. Having passed the business to his children, he now focuses with his family and Aurélien Decerf on supporting the growth of family businesses.
