Septentrion Finance advised the Franque family on the sale of CUPPENS to Antoine Carrette (backed by IRD Invest)

18/09/2025

Founded in 1982 and based in Loos, CUPPENS is renowned for its expertise in interior finishing works: plastering, carpentry, electrical work, flooring, and partitioning, both for new builds and renovations, exclusively in private B2B markets. The company employs nearly 65 people.

Despite a challenging market environment due to the slowdown in new construction, CUPPENS continues to demonstrate strong growth, driven by client trust and a targeted strategy focused on developing large accounts. Revenue reached €12 million in 2025.

IRD Invest, through its Nord Croissance fund, invested €500,000 in the capital of JALA, a company founded by Antoine Carrette, to support the acquisition of CUPPENS.

“We are pleased to support Antoine Carrette in the acquisition of CUPPENS. What started as a simple carpentry business nearly a century ago has grown into a true benchmark in workspace design across the Hauts-de-France region. Having been involved in the company from the very beginning of his career, Antoine has acquired deep expertise in the field and naturally emerged as the ideal successor,”
said David Lepretre, Investment Director at IRD Invest.

“My first thoughts go to the Franque family, who trusted me with the company’s succession — I am deeply grateful for their confidence. IRD Invest quickly believed in my project and supported me throughout the process. Their comprehensive approach, combining financial backing and strategic advice, allowed me to move forward efficiently and constructively in what is often a complex and time-sensitive process,”
added Antoine Carrette.
