Septentrion Finance has advised Briois SAS on the acquisition of Agral SA (Agral Butter)
12/12/2023
BRIOIS SAS, a family-owned company founded in 1935 by Gilbert Briois in Violaines (62) and now led by the third generation (Pierre-Luc Briois and Edouard Briois), has completed a strategic acquisition by acquiring AGRAL SA and JM CABAY SA.
After several months of discussions, Jean-Marie Cabay, who has been leading AGRAL SA and JM CABAY SA since acquiring them in 1971, chose to pass the reins to the Briois family. This transfer paves the way for the creation of a leading European player in the French and Belgian markets.
The combined entity will generate nearly €200 million in revenue and will have a processing capacity of just over 30,000 tonnes of butter.
The complementarity of the industrial equipment and production capacities of BRIOIS SAS and AGRAL SA is expected to drive strong growth in the coming years.
