Septentrion Finance has advised CDE Blangis Group on the sale of Norail SAS and Interges SAS

CDE Blangis Group, founded and chaired by Mr. Charles Blangis, has transferred Norail SAS and Interges SAS to Briconord, backed by Société Générale Capital Partenaires, Siparex, and Initiative & Finance, and chaired by Mr. Christian Guillou.
Founded in 1962, Norail SAS offers over 13,000 references and distributes four product ranges: screws, fasteners, building hardware, and ropes/chains. Norail SAS sells under its own brands (Norail and Starblock) as well as under private labels.
Guitel Hervieu SAS was formed through the merger of two companies:
- Hervieu, established in 1860 and acquired by CDE Blangis Group in 2017, is a French manufacturer and leader in heavy-duty industrial and semi-industrial casters.
- Guitel, founded in 1918 and acquired by CDE Blangis Group in 2011, is a manufacturer and distributor of wheels, handling casters, and gate accessories.
Briconord Group is a European player specializing in the design and distribution of finishing and home improvement products and accessories. Its products are primarily marketed to large DIY retailers (GSB) across 16 countries, with a strong presence in France and the Netherlands, where its two operational entities, Briconord and Mac Lean, are based.
Briconord currently employs 300 people and expects its revenue to increase from €30 million in 2019 to €88 million in 2021.
The transaction was completed on October 14, 2021.
