Septentrion Finance has advised the shareholders of Trato-TLV Group (Picha family) on the sale of their mid-sized company to Fagerhult
02/07/2025
Following the announcement of exclusive negotiations with the Picha family and the signing of a put option agreement on April 4, the Swedish group Fagerhult (listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm) has officially acquired 100% of the shares of Trato-TLV Group.
Trato-TLV, an industrial flagship based in Northern France, was founded in 1947 in Roubaix by Michel Picha and is now led by his grandsons, Guillaume and Charley Picha. The group has become a recognized player in the lighting and medical sectors. With 230 employees, three production sites, and annual revenues of approximately €60 million (of which nearly 20% comes from exports), Trato-TLV produces over 800,000 light fixtures annually.
The group is structured around three entities:
- Trato Industries (lighting),
- TLV and Biolume (both specialists in medical equipment).
Trato-TLV is widely recognized for the quality of its products and the expertise of its teams.
Fagerhult AB is a European leader in the lighting market. Listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, the company generates annual revenues of approximately €750 million and operates 12 brands with a strong presence across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Septentrion Finance was appointed by the Picha family to lead the sale process of Trato-TLV. Discussions with Fagerhult began in October 2024, leading to the signing of a Letter of Intent in December 2024, a Put Option in April 2025, and the closing of the transaction on July 2, 2025.
This acquisition enables Fagerhult to strengthen its footprint in the French market by adding local production capabilities. Guillaume and Charley Picha will continue to lead the Group and support its integration into Fagerhult.
