Septentrion Finance has advised the shareholders of BVP-Socca in connection with the sale to the BME Group

16/12/2022

Building Materials Europe (BME) has completed the acquisition of BVP-SOCCA, a key player in the trading of construction and public works materials in the Hauts-de-France region.

As part of the transaction, BVP-SOCCA’s sales outlets specializing in construction materials (multi-specialist distribution) are being taken over by STB, an independent BigMat member. Only the public works (TP) activity will be integrated into BME.

BME is one of the leading distributors of construction materials in Europe. The Group operates in 8 countries and generated revenue of €4.6 billion in 2021. In France, BME is active under the commercial names Raboni (construction) and Busca (public works). Prior to the transaction, the Group managed a network of 47 sales outlets and 3 showrooms, employing over 525 people. This acquisition presents BME with a unique opportunity to strengthen its position in northern France. The public works activity of BVP-SOCCA will thus join the Busca network.
