APL becomes majority shareholder of the AKF Group
21/07/2020
APL, a data center specialist, announces that it has acquired a majority stake in the AKF Group. Founded in 2006 and comprising three companies—KAP Floor, KAR Network, and KAF Consulting—this group, like APL, is specialized in the data center sector. Following this partnership, the AKF Group entities will retain full autonomy and continue to be led by their founder.
This partnership between APL and AKF aims to achieve three main objectives. First, it seeks to leverage AKF’s international expertise, particularly in Africa, to further expand APL’s activities beyond France. The newly formed group will also strengthen APL’s engineering capabilities. Finally, APL will enrich its service portfolio by drawing on AKF’s expertise in two additional areas: on-site IT rack maintenance in data centers and the design and installation of raised access flooring.
With about twenty employees, the three AKF Group companies (KAF Consulting, KAR Network, and KAP Floor) will be managed by their founder, Adam Koussay, a civil engineering and infrastructure graduate (Télécom Paris) and former APL collaborator.
