Septentrion Finance has advised the Lepoutre family on the sale of SARL Moulins d’Ascq

Founded in 1999 by Mathieu Lepoutre, Brasserie Moulins d’Ascq produces organic craft beers and is one of the most iconic beer brands in the Hauts-de-France region.
The brewery is based in Villeneuve d’Ascq (Nord) and employs a team of 20 people.
The brewery’s core mission is to promote organic beers and raise consumer awareness about environmental preservation.
Moulins d’Ascq has won numerous awards, including two recent honors at the 2023 Concours Général Agricole:
- Gold medal for Moulin d’Ascq Triple in the category “High fermentation blonde beer – ABV above 6%”
- Bronze medal for Hellemus Blonde in the category “High fermentation blonde beer – ABV 6% or below”
Alban Decoster, co-manager and partner alongside Mathieu Lepoutre since 2015, acquired 100% of the company’s shares in November 2023 through an LMBO.
The founder, now retired, remains involved with the brewery’s projects by joining the strategic committee.
Alban Decoster’s ambition is to continue developing the brewery while maintaining its ecological excellence.
