Septentrion Finance has advised BTC Group on the acquisition of Cuvelier

05/12/2024

BTC Group, a key player specializing in providing equipment and services dedicated to the safety and productivity of construction industry professionals, is structured around two divisions: Formwork, with Piazza Coffrages, and Shoring/Surveying, with Geoxium. BTC operates through a network of over 15 branches across France and generates €32 million in revenue.

A leader in the Hauts-de-France region, Cuvelier offers a structured portfolio centered on two areas of expertise: rental and sale of automated assembly cranes, and electrical installations for construction sites.

The acquisition of Cuvelier is part of BTC’s strategic plan to broaden its offering, aiming to better meet the needs of clients in both the Formwork (Piazza Coffrages) and Shoring & Surveying (Geoxium) divisions.

Ultimately, the branches of BTC Group's national network will be able to offer this expanded range of services.

With this enhanced offering and a uniquely comprehensive value proposition in the market, BTC Group strengthens its position as a national leader. This new development perfectly aligns with BTC Group's mission: optimizing the safety and productivity of construction professionals through the expertise of its specialized teams and the circularity of its business model.

Frédéric Delayen, current CEO of Cuvelier, will continue to lead the company and drive its growth. Cuvelier employs 19 people and generates nearly €7 million in revenue.

According to Nicolas Poriche, President of BTC Group, “This merger is based on numerous potential synergies, notably the expansion of our offering to clients, while remaining true to our mission and expertise.”

For Frédéric Delayen, “This merger represents a real opportunity for Cuvelier, which will be able to continue its development while preserving its values, perfectly aligned with those of BTC Group.”

The transaction was completed on November 21, 2024.
